    Comments: 

    If you have large cuts to make and thick material, then this is the tool for you to use. Cuts really thick wood with ease. Some of our members have been using this machine to make some large clock gears of a piece that they are working on. Others have been making test parts for their car.

    This is a great tool for making furnature, large signs, placks, awards, and pretty much anything else you could think of out of wood. You will need to know how to use Fusion 360 or another CAD/CAM software to generate g-code files to use this machine.

    Comments:

    The first of our high resolution resin printers. This is a really good tool for rapid prototyping for high quality parts. If you need to make a small part with a lot of detail, then this is the 3D printer to use. Unlike the ultimaker, this 3D printer prints upside-down and is much easier to remove from the support material.

    Laser Cutter Rules

    • A member may reserve the laser cutter for one, two-hour period per day.
    • A member may not reserve the laser cutter more than 2 times in one week.
    • Members who do not use the laser within 30 minutes of their reservation start time shall lose their reservation.


    Comments:
    The laser cutter is great for making all sorts of projects. From lamps  to clocks, as well as gears, housings, shelves, and art pieces. The 3D laser cutting class is great if you want to learn how to make 3D objects with the laser cutter. A Hacker Lab class that needs to use the laser shall take precedence over all other laser cutter reservations. If a member has a special project that will take more than 2 hours to complete, they must request prior approval from john@hackerlab.org

    The second of our high resolution resin printers. This is a really good tool for rapid prototyping for high quality parts. If you need to make a small part with a lot of detail, then this is the 3D printer to use. Compared to the Form 1, the Form 2 has a nice display of your 3D print, remote printing, a resin wiper to improve the quality of the resin, and a nice touch screen interface.
